Now let me put that into plain English! For not much money what you get is one hell of a Baitcaster - which takes inspiration from Abu’s world leading Revo reels –that has Swedish engineered, precision machined gears and bearings - a super-fast retrieve - a light-weight, super-strong hollow (waffle) spool - a “flipping switch” which lets you decided how the reel engages once you let go of the thumb bar spool release (On, and the gears automatically engage once the thumb bar is released, or Off, and the gears will only engage once the reel handle is turned) – and Abu Garcia’s patented “MagTrax” magnetic brake system. Featuring both a spool tension system (to tune the start of your cast) and a magnetic breaking system (to control the end of your cats) means that overruns are less likely and this makes the ProMax perfect for the newcomer to baitcasting or the occasional user.
